Embracing the healing and transformative power of yoga while fostering a safe and authentic community where all are invited on the journey of self-discovery.
Embrace your journey
In yoga's embrace, we find healing ,
Each pose, a journey, compassion defined.
Breath by breath, release, surrender, and mend.
In stillness, compassion's journey, heartward we send.

About Me.
Hey there! My name is Lina Sims, founder of Evie Yoga! I discovered the profound benefits of yoga during my personal journey towards healing and self-awareness. As I became more inspired by the transformative power of yoga, I embarked on a journey that I had no idea would lead me to where I am today. Evie is a Hebrew name meaning “new life.” At Evie Yoga we believe that the transformative power of yoga can help ignite the spark of new beginnings and foster a deeper connection to self, our communities, and the Divine. We are fueled by a passion for healing and a deep love for guiding and inviting individuals into their own journey towards holistic well-being, healing, and self-discovery. Taking a heart-centered approach to teaching with a blend of creativity and breath-work, we strive to create a nurturing and safe space where transformation can take place——an environment where students can explore, heal, and grow at their own pace.
Beyond the mat.
I’d like to think of myself as extremely passionate, and fun-loving. Someone who really values authenticity as well as meaningful connections and relationships. In this life I aim to align my heart, my thoughts, my actions, and my intentions with Jesus being the center of it all. My wish is to always lead with love, compassion, inclusivity, and understanding.
When I’m not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find me spending time with friends and family, weight training at my gym, hiking and enjoying nature, traveling to new places, reading, concocting new recipes, extensively researching some random subject (probably science related), and curating playlists for anything and everything. You can also catch me hanging around Birmingham at the newest restaurants and coffee shops, and enjoying our local cinemas, symphonies, or theater productions.
